La residencia, a Belmond Hotel, Mallorca, has reopened for the summer season

Belmond La Residencia, the magic sanctuary located on the West coast of the island of Mallorca, is thrilled to announce that the hotel reopened its doors on the 24th of July, introducing new open-air experiences inspired by the vivid colours, captivating flavours and secret charms of island life. 

True to the pioneering spirit of the brand, in these challenging times the hotel´s commitment to provide every guest, partner and employee with the highest standard of service and care remains unaltered. Safety, wellbeing and comfort will always be central to everything they do. 

The ample property awaits you with gardens more beautiful than ever to while away the hours indulging in the peaceful setting of the majestic peaks towering over the artistic hamlet. 

Culinary offers 

Due to the current situation some changes have been implemented in daily operations in order to guarantee maximum safety in a relaxed atmosphere. 

On the enchanting El Olivo´s terrace guests will continue to enjoy Chef Guillermo´s exquisite creations in the evenings under starry skies while the popular Café Miró provides culinary delights at lunch time only. At Bar Miró which boasts 33 original art works by the famous painter both guests and pass-byers can still savor aperitifs, snacks and live music in the evenings. This year, the long-time favourite donkey trail picnic in the olive grove of the property is available upon request, the pool restaurant serves a snack menu and a delicious breakfast will be á-la-carte. 

Activities on site and further afield 

Fancy an alternative to a splash in the hotel´s famous pool, a game of tennis, a tempting treatment in the appraised Spa or a walk in the picturesque village? Seek the most stylish comfort – cocktail in hand - in Belmond La Residencia´s colorful new deck chairs designed by British designer Matthew Williamson, take an unforgettable art class on the cliffs of Cala Deià with a passionate young artist from the village or try the new Soundhealing experience taking in place in the beautiful Mirador (viewpoint) of the property, surrounded by nature. 

Multiple spacious outdoor facilities offer a variety of possibilities for either being active or relaxing within the beautiful hotel grounds but those who wish to venture further afield should not miss the brand new excursion in collaboration with the Sa Bassa Blanca Museum, close to Alcúdia, in the North of the island. International artists and collectors, Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu are behind the creation of this unique hidden gem where your private guide will surprise the guests with an unforgettable, holistic experience.
