AN EVENING MARKED IN HISTORY

The Britannic Explorer's premiere marked a new milestone moment for Belmond, introducing the first luxury train to travel to Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales. Framed within the station's industrial architecture, the platform was transformed for a single evening in a magical British garden, immersed in lush greenery, delicate flower beds, a shimmering fountain, and artful illumination that evoked the delightful scenescapes glimpsed from the train's cabin window. Guests revelled in the enchanting ambiance, savouring canapés and bespoke cocktails, as surprise live performances unfolded throughout the evening.

Guests were guided onboard the Britannic Explorer for a first intimate look at the Suites and Grand Suites, the two dining cars named Malva and Samphire and the Observation car. The decor paid homage to the cultures and landscapes traversed by the train, featuring natural materials, traditional fabrics, and hand-selected antiques. Later, the night continued with a vibrant DJ performance by Isabella Massenet taking guests on a musical journey through iconic British artists from the 1980s to the 2000s.

Set to become a new British icon, the Britannic Explorer embodies modern Britain by creatively blending history, style, and personality to create an unforgettable experience, with select partners deeply rooted in local culture. Departing from London Victoria Station, guests will embark on thoughtfully curated three-night itineraries to some of the nation's most iconic regions: the dramatic coastline of Cornwall, the majestic landscapes of the Lake District, and the storied heartlands of Wales.
