April 2022 – The only hotel located within the Iguassu National Park, Hotel das Cataratas is part of the Belmond group and has been once again recognized by Forbes Travel Guide for providing the best and most exclusive hospitality experience.

Forbes Travel Guide is considered one of the key luxury tourism guides in the world and has elected, for the fifth consecutive time, Hotel das Cataratas as the “best hotel in South America”. With a maximum rating of five stars and a score of 92.55 – the highest score since the hotel entered the 5-star category –, the hotel remains the first and the only one in Brazil and South America to hold the title.

Proud of her team, general manager Andrea Emmerling believes that such recognition is a result of resolve and dedication. The hotel’s impeccable facilities and unique location combined with its caring all-encompassing service guarantee a most memorable stay experience for every guest.

"We are feeling very honored and absolutely thrilled to be once again recognized by the most prestigious and luxurious travel guide in our industry. It is the intuitive and genuine attention to every detail by all of our team members, paired with the stunning setting of Iguassu Falls, that create unforgettable memories for our guests and ensure that they are feeling at home. It is an immense privilege to be working in front of one of the new seven wonders of nature and I believe that our service translates this happiness that we are all feeling. I applaud my team for their exceptional level of commitment and consistency", says Andrea Emmerling.
