Belmond welcomes a new decade with “The Party” of a lifetime   

Belmond’s iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond train, Europe is set to put the roar into 2020 with the launch of “The Party” - a new immersive 1920s journey from Venice to London. Harking back to the parties of a bygone era and personifying the carriages’ legendary history, guests are invited to step into an exceptional 48 hours of magic and drama. Set in the golden age of glamour; surrounded by red hot jazz and hedonistic encounters. The journey runs from 27-29 March 2020, with limited tickets available. 

HIDDEN PLEASURES

On 27th March 2020, the celebration begins under Venetian skies on the enchanted island of Giudecca, home to Cipriani, a Belmond hotel, Venice. For one night only, Cipriani will create a speakeasy in mythical Venice.  Guests will be invited to sneak into the secret location, hidden under the iconic resort, for a taste of 1920s imagination. 

PLATFORM OF ANTICIPATION

The scene is set for a glamorous adventure as the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express departs from Santa Lucia station, Venice. 

As the train wends through Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France—passing snowy Alps and glassy lakes—guests will bring history to life whilst clad in flapper dresses and spats and sipping Champagne in coupe glasses. As “The Party” roars across the rails, surprise entertainment and impromptu performances will unfold both on and off the train.

DESIGNS ON GLAMOUR

Venice Simplon-Orient-Express travels throughout Europe from March to November and embarks on the iconic journey to Istanbul once a year.  The 2020 season sees the addition of three new Grand Suites on the train; named by the cities that have inspired the design - Vienna, Budapest and Prague. 

The legendary train is made up of 17 original 1920s carriages, each of which has its own unique history. Each carriage played a part in the famous trains of the era that pioneered the way for international travellers to cross borders in style and luxury.

TICKET TO RIDE

Prices for the two-night ‘The Party with Cipriani’ journey from Venice to London starts from £3,760 per person based on a one-night stay at Cipriani in a Garden View Room and including a celebratory dinner. On board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express this price includes a stay in a twin cabin, drinks, all table d’hote meals and all entertainment.
