gabrielle.palmer@belmond.comWhether you’re celebrating your honeymoon, your marriage vow renewal, or simply escaping for a weekend à deux, you’ll find romance is in the air at the Mount Nelson Hotel.
Enjoy a three-night stay in one of our heavenly, spacious rooms with balconies and sweeping views of the mountains or the gorgeous hotel gardens. Toast your arrival with chilled South African Methode Cap Classique bubbly, where you’ll also find a jar of delectable honey from our own beehives. Divinely comfortable beds, decadent bathrooms and fragrant flowers are all part of the experience.
As night falls, share an intimate evening of wining and dining by candlelight in our elegant Lord Nelson Restaurant, the hotel’s original dining room from 120 years ago. Traditional tableside service has been revived to complement a menu of time-honoured classics, such as Caesar salad, beef Wellington and crêpes Suzette. Sit back and relax as you’re serenaded by our resident pianist, who’ll happily play your partner’s favourite romantic song if you tip him the wink.
Breakfast is served in our sunny Oasis Restaurant. Savour it al fresco on the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. Or, should you prefer a lazy, languid affair one morning, do request for it to be served in your room.
The indulgence continues with a blissful massage, either in your room or at Librisa Spa. We’ll also present you with a bottle of essential oil for your own sweet-scented massages.
Take time to relax within our grounds, lounging by the adults-only swimming pool, enjoying a game of tennis (coaching can be arranged), or finding a charming, secluded corner of the gardens to read and drift off. When you feel like exploring outside, we can organise some unforgettable experiences.
Enhance your stay in Cape Town:
Sidecar excursion – including sunset sparkling cocktails at Bakoven Beach.
A night at the Fugard Theatre – from gripping dramas to toe-tapping musicals.
On top of the world - take a 12-minute helicopter flip to Cape Point and back; fly to the Constantia Winelands for a champagne tasting at Steenberg, or treat yourself to a flip to Delaire Graff wine estate on the Helshoogte Pass for lunch with an awesome view.
(Prices on request.)
Ready to wed?
We’re not just about post-wedded bliss. Our spectacular gardens offer the most beautiful setting for your marriage service, or your vow renewal, to celebrate the wedding of your dreams in stellar style.
