Nespresso rings in the festive season, encouraging coffee lovers to spend Unforgettable Holidays with a new selection of coffees co-created by world-famous chef Jean Imbert. The Festive collection also features an indulgent assortment of biscuits and chocolates, inspired by some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, accompanied by stylish accessories to complete an enchanting array of gifts for coffee lovers.
The collection will come to life via a Festive Odyssey campaign. Inspired by Belmond’s legendary art of travel and train journeys around the world, the Nespresso Unforgettable Holidays campaign will visually transport coffee aficionados on an enchanting quest, seeking to awaken the senses with new flavours influenced by global exploration.
New gastronomic coffees
Nespresso welcomes the holiday season with new limited-edition coffees designed to create unforgettable memories, calling on Michelin Star Chef Jean Imbert to curate an exceptional sensory experience. After multiple luxury projects around the world, and notably his appointment as head Chef of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express A, the French Chef is now lending his gastronomic expertise to Nespresso coffees and treats.
"I am deeply honored to have been given the extraordinary opportunity to collaborate with Nespresso in crafting these exquisite and exclusive coffee creations. Through tireless dedication and close collaboration with their entire team, we have meticulously refined these masterpieces, each born from a new and exciting challenge. I am immensely proud of the outcome, as these coffees embody the cherished memories of my travels, evoking the essence of distant lands with notes of peanut and roasted sesame. Additionally, they capture the spirit of Paris, reminiscent of the iconic croissant aux amandes. Lastly, an unforgettable Espresso, aptly named, completes this remarkable collection." – Jean Imbert
The Unforgettable Espresso and Double Espresso evoke long train journeys through Latin America: an aromatic blend including Arabica beans from Peru and Costa Rica emboldened by Robusta, the coffee boasts toasted cereal and woody notes. Savour this black or as a delectable Latte Macchiato on Original or Double Cappuccino on Vertuo for a real taste of luxury.
Based on an original idea from Jean Imbert, the Almond Croissant Flavour will transport you to the heart of Paris. This flavoured coffee releases almond and buttery pastry notes, evoking a sense of childhood memories for the Chef. Enjoy it as a Cappuccino and let it unleash the almond notes. The Peanut and Roasted Sesame Flavour is a tribute to Jean Imbert’s gastronomic voyages. This coffee flavour combines notes of toasted sesame, popcorn and mixed nuts to create an unmissable, warming drink this festive season.
Exquisite limited-edition chocolates
A new delicious limited-edition box of chocolates has been co-created with chef Jean Imbert to provide a luxurious gift for the festive season. With carefully selected Rainforest Alliance-certified cocoa beans from Congo, this treat is made of 70% round and intense dark chocolate with caramelised hazelnuts. Jean Imbert drew inspiration from his grandmother’s cuisine to develop the indulgent flavours of this new offering.
Treats for yourself or your loved ones
Nespresso also introduces two new permanent biscuits to complete its Food&Bites range. These travel-inspired delights have been developed to capture the essence of two iconic destinations: New York and Edinburgh. The Chocolate Chips Cookie is a delightful combination of flavours, including rich chocolate and hints of vanilla that will transport you to the bustling streets of Manhattan with each bite. The Lemon Flavoured Shortbread, on the other hand, is a crumbly and buttery delight infused with refreshing zests of lemon that captures the essence of Edinburgh's historic charm.
The Gifting Odyssey
The Nespresso Advent Calendars return in 2024, unveiling one coffee behind each door, allowing you to discover new flavours and revisit your favourite Nespresso coffees. With a packaging that echoes the collection’s theme of travel, this festive treat will transport you to magical places from the comfort of your home. The Advent Calendars will include the limited-edition festive coffees co-created with Jean Imbert and an exclusive limited-edition decorated mug in porcelain for the last day.
Nespresso also gives myriad gifting options: the Limited-Edition Barista Festive Glass; the Limited-Edition Travel Mug, made of 90% Recycled Stainless Steel, in deep blue to echo the campaign’s distinctive look and feel; and the existing Nespresso accessories we all know and love, from Origins and Lume Mugs to the Vertuo Glassware collection.
Creative recipes to cosy up this season
This festive season, Nespresso has created new recipes, specially designed to optimise the flavours developed by Chef Jean Imbert. Try the Peanut and Roasted Sesame Flavour coffee with whipped cream, topped with toasted sesame seeds and a touch of honey, or the limited-edition Almond Croissant Flavour as a Gourmet Almond Croissant Latte with smooth milk and the subtlety of orange blossom. Coffee lovers can also indulge in the elegance of an exquisite cocktail that combines vanilla syrup, pineapple juice, freshly squeezed lime, Pisco and an intense touch of the Unforgettable Double Espresso – this recipe also comes alcohol-free. Nespresso Machines to create memories with
The festive season wouldn’t be complete without new limited edition of the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ coffee machine, redecorated with a premium matte black finishing with gold and black chrome accents, elevating Nespresso’s gift offering even further.
