The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, London Unveils It's 2025 Chelsea in Bloom 'Fashion in Flower' Installation.

Press release

22 May, 2025

MAY 2025 - On Monday, 19th May, The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, London, will unveil a striking floral installation in celebration of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025 and its theme, 'Fashion in Flowers.' Inspired by one of the hotel’s most renowned former patrons, Oscar Wilde, and his iconic quote, 'One should either be a work of art or wear a work of art,' the installation - entitled That Jacket - will be on display for guests and locals to admire as part of the Chelsea in Bloom trail, until Sunday, 25th May. Notable florist, PAUL THOMAS, was selected to conceptualise and craft this year’s installation which draws inspiration from the iconic silhouette of Dior's Bar jacket, adorned with a green carnation on the lapel – a signature of Oscar Wilde which has become a symbol of LGBTQ+ pride.

The main structure of the jacket will be created with Calandiva Plants in shades of pink and lilac. The Cadogan will also join The Cadogan Estates initiative partnering with The Confetti Club who repurpose the floral display petals. These petals will be dried and sold as biodegradable confetti, with all profits going towards Cancer Research.

THE CADOGAN CART X GELUPO
The Cadogan Cart returns from 19th May, collaborating with Soho stalwart Gelupo, famed for their Italian gelati which is made in-house with the finest seasons ingredients. The cart, nestled on the corner of picturesque Sloane Street overlooking the leafy Cadogan Place Garden, will be serving up delights throughout the summer. Highlights include a bespoke flavour created especially for The Cadogan inspired by Chelsea Flower Show - orange blossom - alongside beloved classics such as ricotta and sour cherry, and pistachio.
